Have you been out of education or employment for a period of time? We have an exciting 5 week programme starting in January, for 10 hours per week, preparing you for work and enabling you to explore your future pathways. 

You will participate in workshops and classroom activities exploring Employability Skills, preparing you for your next steps into work. You will learn about presentation skills, building on your confidence and communication techniques. You will take part in enterprise projects, C.V. writing, interview techniques, and team building activities. We will provide you with information, advice and guidance through the college Job Shop. 

You will achieve the confidence and skills to plan your future and move forward into work.

Study Programme

All students at Oldham College will participate in a personalised study programme that will maximise your potential and enable you to progress onto employment, apprenticeships or higher education.

This means you will:

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications
  • Participate in meaningful work experience
  • Enjoy a range of enrichment opportunities e.g. basketball, archery, skiing and sign language
  • Take part in dedicated tutorial sessions to review your progress and development
