Compulsory topics include:

• Principles of practice of hairdressing
• Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
• Cut men’s hair using basic techniques
• Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques
• Dry and finish men’s hair
• Create basic outlines and detailing in hair

Level 2 – 4 x GCSE grade D or level 3 (including English and Maths)

The Level 2 Technical Certificate in Barbering (360) is aimed at learners that are looking to start a career in the barbering industry.  Learners could progress into employment, onto an Apprenticeship, or further their studies by taking other qualifications at Level 3.

While studying your Barbering qualification, you will be required to do extended hours of voluntary or paid work in a professional and established Barbershop.
