This qualification covers a wide range of practical  skills and knowledge for working as a junior stylist providing a range of practical services and techniques.

Gained GCSE English and maths at Grade C and above

Good attendance and punctuality.

This qualification is aimed at learners who have already gained their GCSE in both English and maths at Grade C and above in both English and maths.

The Level 2 Technical Certificate in Hairdressing provides learners with a range of practical skills and knowledge which will enable learners to seek employment or further training within the hairdressing industry.

Achievement of this qualification Level 2 Technical Certificate demonstrates to an potential employer the learners have gained the key skills ,behaviours and technicall skills to enter into employment as a junior stylist.

Choosing this qualification also demonstrates you have an interest in current trends with in the hairdressing industry and have a desire to pursue a role with creativity which requires a high degree of dexterity.  


Learners must  also undertake a structured work experience or work placement to develop skills and knowledge relevant to this qualification

  • Employer Involvement

This is a mandatory part of the Technical Certificate qualification and all learners must complete a minimum 35 hours work experience, this will provide a  valuable commercial experience of what the hairdressing industry offers
