During the course you will complete units from the University of Arts London course, developing visual language, research skills, drawing skills and the exploration of materials, techniques and processes. You will develop your ability to:
We assess regularly with both informal/formal, formative and summative portfolio assessments. We provide students with tutor reviews which are usually three weeks prior to their final assessments.
We also embed self, peer and tutor assessment in almost every session, whether this is in verbal or written form. Learners have regular tutorials where their assessment grades are checked. Other areas of study such as English and Maths will involve examinations.
Applicants must have the required GCSE grades in English, maths and an art based subject.

19+ learners may have the opportunity to apply for UCO FdA’s in Graphic Design, Photography and Creative Media.
We have links with businesses and creative venues in the region who welcome student collaborations, and work placements.
