Statement
When choosing a college, I knew that I wanted to study in a real life environment with equipment equivalent to those in the workplace. That’s just what The Oldham College offered.
I’d previously attended a sixth form to do A-Levels but I’d always known I’d wanted a more ‘hands on’ approach to learning.
The course was great. The most interesting part was being taught, and then actually designing and building circuits. All of the tutors were really supportive and whenever I didn’t understand something fully they always took time to go through and explain things.
Most exciting of all is that by going to the college I am now prepared for a career within the engineering profession; I’ve got a place at Manchester Metropolitan University to study Computer Communication and Electronic engineering. I eventually want to become a renewable energy engineer.
