Job Shop Team Leader
Gillian joined the College in 2011 having previous worked for a Training Provider. She has a wealth of experience of the apprenticeship offer having previously worked as a Tutor and Assessor for Business. She is able to offer advice and support across all Apprenticeship trades and has detailed knowledge of the process. Gillian originally started her career studying a Business Administration Apprenticeship level 2 & 3 before progressing to University to study Construction Management. Gillian is passionate about the skills and knowledge that an apprenticeship can provide young people.
Tracy joined Oldham College in 2002 having started on a programme called e2e, helping learners back into employment, education or training. She has extensive experience of many areas of the College which enables her to help both employers and students meet their needs in terms of identifying the right programme for the right person. Tracy’s main focus is supporting employers who are seeking Apprentices and assisting candidates in finding an Apprenticeship in the sector that is right for them. Key areas are construction trades as well as a grounding of other trades too.
Andrea has worked in the area of employer engagement at Oldham College for nearly a decade. Before working at the College, Andrea undertook a variety of administration and customer service roles at Natwest Bank, the NHS and Volvo. Andrea’s focus within the Recruitment Agency is supporting employers and students who are seeking Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care, Childcare, Teaching Assistants and Dental and also assisting with Traineeships but can help employers from all sectors due to an excellent knowledge of Apprenticeships.
Michelle has worked at Oldham College for 23 years and has enjoyed a variety of roles giving her great experience. She started her employment in 1991 part time on Reception alongside another part time job at the New Deal Centre. Michelle then moved into a Work Experience Administrator role focusing on placements in Care, Early Years, Legal Studies and Accounts. More recently her focus her focus within the Recruitment Agency is supporting employers and students who are seeking Apprenticeships in Hair, Beauty, Nails, Barbering, Retail and food preparation but can help all sectors due to an excellent foundation knowledge of Apprenticeships .
Akddus previously worked for a charity group helping people get back into employment, education or training. Part of this involved working very closely with employers to arrange work experience, work trials with a view of employers taking on candidates with a permanent position. Akddus joined the college in February 2015 before the launch of the Job shop and is now looking after the Business sector which includes apprenticeships in the following areas: Business Administration, Customer services, Accounts, Team Leading and Management. Akddus has a lot of experience in finding employment and opportunities for people and will offer you all the advice and support you need and is happy to answer any queries you may have. Although the main industry specialism is Business Akddus has a great understanding of all apprenticeship.
