We have a dedicated team who work with employers right across the region. They can help you find apprentices, assist you with your general recruitment, aid in you in running traineeships and can talk to you about grants available for employers.

Jacqui has worked within the role of Employer Engagement for over ten years, promoting training and qualifications to local business to upskill the needs of their staff and to meet the needs of the business. In addition she has also worked with the Investors in People team promoting the award to employers and businesses who wanted to achieve the Investors in People accreditation across the northwest. Prior to working in education she worked as a Business Development Manager selling a range of medical supplies to Occupational Health Centres.

David works at the College as a Business Advisor. His role entails him to meet with employers who are interested in recruiting an Apprentice to provide them with information, advice and guidance to enable them to make an informed decision on whether the recruitment of an Apprentice is right for their business needs.

Caroline has been involved in the beauty industry for over 20 years and has experience of training, recruitment and sales development. Her goal is now in strengthening relationships with salons/ clinics by delivering excellent candidates into the industry through the apprenticeship scheme.

Paula Edge

Team Leader

Paula has worked in employer engagement and sales for 12 years and her proven skills in relationship building enable her to provide excellent levels of customer service. Her current role involves managing the team of Business Advisors and giving information, advice and guidance to employers whilst providing a bespoke service to ensure quality outcomes. Before joining the education sector she worked in advertising sales and also worked with NEETs and the long term unemployed, providing them with support into work as the link between the local labour market and jobseekers

Ray has worked at Oldham College for over 20 years after a successful career working with Manchester Chamber. He has vast experience in many different sectors both in his working life and in the education sector. He passionately believes in upskilling the people of Oldham and is very responsive to employer needs ensuring that he delivers a quality service with successful outcomes for the employer and learner.
