Apprenticeship In Management

The median salary for Management is £35,000 - £45,000.

If you are ages 16-23 the Skills Funding Agency will fund the cost of the training.
If you are aged 24+ an employer contribution would be required.

Ideally A-D GCSE
Students should already be in a Management role to allow them to collect the range of evidence required. 

This is ideal for individuals looking to take their first step into line management and for those who already have some management responsibilities. It is also an excellent route for existing managers that would like to formalise their management skills. This combined knowledge and competency based qualification will build and develop new skills to enhance their management career. 

As a student of Oldham College you will have full use of all the college facilities

Learners take five mandatory units in this qualification. The first unit looks at professional development, which helps learners to identify their own development needs and plans how to fulfil them. The second unit develops practical team management skills. The three remaining units of this section develop the theory behind people management, leadership and business. 

Level 3 Diploma in Management (Combined Qualification)
Functional Skills Level 1 in English, Maths & ICT (unless already accredited)

This course will enable learners to develop your portfolio of essential management skills, taking charge of your personal and professional development. Learners will get an in-depth understanding of what is expected of a manager. You will be equipped with essential skills to manage your team effectively enhancing the overall performance in the role of a manager. 

Study Programme

All students at Oldham College will participate in a personalised study programme that will maximise your potential and enable you to progress onto employment, apprenticeships or higher education.

This means you will:

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications
  • Participate in meaningful work experience
  • Enjoy a range of enrichment opportunities e.g. basketball, archery, skiing and sign language
  • Take part in dedicated tutorial sessions to review your progress and development
