Apprenticeship In Social Media and Digital Marketing

If you are ages 16-23 the Skills Funding Agency will fund the cost of the training.
If you are aged 24+ an employer contribution would be required.

It is preferred that all applicants have GCSE grades A* to C, in both English, Maths and preferably ICT or Level 2 Key/Functional skills in Maths and English. and some form of art or design background. Most employers require applicants to have a basic knowledge of software such as Photoshop and Illustrator. It is also beneficial if you have a portfolio of work to show at interview along with an up to date CV.

This qualification has been designed to help individuals demonstrate the knowledge, understanding and skills required to use social media in business. It is ideally suited for people or employers who are establishing their social media presence or who wish to increase their understanding. 

As a student of Oldham College you will have full use of all the college facilities

You will learn all aspects of how to use Social Media to make the best impact on business and how to utilise different techniques and tools.

You will cover such things as:
Principles of keywords and optimisation, Social networking management for business, imaging software, Digital and social media in marketing campaigns.

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Social Media
 Level 3 Diploma in Social Media for Business
 Level 2 Maths
 Level 2 English
 Level 2 ICT

Effective use of social media is now an established marketing tool and can help any business thrive. The apprenticeship will help you understand a range of tools and techniques to create campaigns and progress into this fast paced industry.

Study Programme

All students at Oldham College will participate in a personalised study programme that will maximise your potential and enable you to progress onto employment, apprenticeships or higher education.

This means you will:

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications
  • Participate in meaningful work experience
  • Enjoy a range of enrichment opportunities e.g. basketball, archery, skiing and sign language
  • Take part in dedicated tutorial sessions to review your progress and development
