Apprenticeship In Business Administration

Working in a role which involves administration or office work.

Circa £23,000 per annum

If you are aged 16-23 the Skills Funding Agency will fund the cost of the training.
If you are aged 24+ an employer contribution would be required.

Ideally A-E GCSE or meet the college skill scan requirements.
Student should already be in a Business Administration role to allow them to collect the range of evidence required. 

The Level 2 and 3 Diplomas are hybrid qualifications, made up of competence and knowledge units. These units are delivered in the College and assessed in the workplace.
From learning to carry out basic administrative tasks to gaining higher level support skills, qualifications in Business Administration can be tailored to meet you or your employer's specific needs.

Progression is available through to Higher Apprenticeship Level 4 or Higher Education Degree level

As a student of Oldham College you will have full use of all the college facilities.

These qualifications consist of 6/5 mandatory units. You will learn how to manage personal development, develop your working relationships with colleagues, how to communicate in the business environment and how to use the correct equipment for daily tasks.  Further, 3 units are achieved in the College where a tutor will develop your knowledge around an administrator’s role and how Businesses and organisations work. 

Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Business Administration (combined Qualification)
Functional Skills level 1 or 2 in English, Maths and ICT (unless already accredited) 

These qualifications in Business Administration are for people who want to work in administrative support roles in public or private sector organisations, or people who want to improve their administrative and supervisory skills

Study Programme

All students at Oldham College will participate in a personalised study programme that will maximise your potential and enable you to progress onto employment, apprenticeships or higher education.

This means you will:

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications
  • Participate in meaningful work experience
  • Enjoy a range of enrichment opportunities e.g. basketball, archery, skiing and sign language
  • Take part in dedicated tutorial sessions to review your progress and development
