Working week: 40 HOURS
Wage: National minimum wage for apprentices £3.90
Expected Duration: 24 Months
Entry Requirements:
GCSE A-D grade in English
GCSE A-D grade in Math’s

We are looking to recruit a new apprentice to join our team and become a future hairdressing professional.

You must be enthusiastic and willing to work on your own initiative.

Our salon offers valuable hairdressing training in the workplace while you gain your formal qualifications. Working in a salon and building your hairdressing and customer service skills you will have access to modern facilities and will learn all aspects of hairdressing.

Meet and greet clients in a friendly manner and be courteous at all times.
Offer refreshments and magazines to clients.
Provide shampooing and conditioning treatments to clients.
Assist the stylists with client services.
Maintain salon cleanliness and work areas.
Answer telephone calls.
Any other duties.
You will receive training away from the salon attending one day a week off site training where you will experience high quality training and learning from our well-established hair industry experts who help you achieve your goals and the Hair Professional Apprenticeship.

Vacancy description:
We are growing our hairdressing team and a vacancy is available for an apprentice hairdresser who wants to work as part of a great team at an independent salon with a reputation for excellence.

The position would suit a highly motivated individual who wants to be a member of a small friendly team and have the opportunity to develop their skills to a level of an excellent junior stylist. The successful applicant will be expected to assist in the everyday running of the salon including:
Meeting and greeting clients
Answering the telephone
Reception duties
Providing refreshments
Providing shampooing and conditioning treatments
Assisting the senior stylists
General housekeeping duties
The learner will gain training and knowledge in
Client consultations
Shampoo, condition treating the hair and scalp
Cutting hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks
Colouring and lightening hair using a range of techniques.
