Improving Operational Performance (Manufacturing) Apprenticeship-Level 2

About the employer: All our furniture is bespoke, made to order and produced in our Oldham based workshop. Our experts produce accurate frames, add the foam and upholster the furniture to the highest of standards.



Overview of the role (what will the learner be doing and what will the learner gain): You will be working in multiple manufacturing areas within the business, which can be fast paced and physically demanding.

You will work within a team in order to produce high quality, bespoke furniture to strict deadlines. You will be performing production related tasks and processes to the highest quality, relying on your excellent attention to detail. You will need excellent communication skills as well as the ability to accurately follow work process instructions.

You will have a keen sense of achievement and take pride in the work you undertake and produce.

Improving Operational Performance- Level 2
Functional Skills English Level 1
Functional Skills Math’s Level 1

Vacancy description:
Cutting foam to size
Operate machinery as per the Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P)
Applying foam to the frames of the furniture
Once trained, applying coverings to the furniture
Reporting any faults with machinery to the Team Leader.
First sight fixes
Cutting holes for the application of buttons
Maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Assist with QC checks on product as per S.O.P.
Continuously work towards improvement.
Responsible for the general housekeeping of the working area.
To keep housekeeping and all records up to date.
Desired qualifications 5* GCSE’s A to D
