Horticulture Apprenticeship-Level 2

About the employer: We offer Landscape services to the Oldham East & Saddleworth area including; Garden Maintenance, Decking, Paving, Fencing & Pressure Washing.
Overview of the role (what will the learner be doing and what will the learner gain): We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our team undertaking grounds maintenance work to include grass cutting, hedge cutting, weed control and shrub & bed maintenance.
Training to be provided (Qualifications to be gained):

Horticulture Apprenticeship Standard-Level 2
Functional Skills English Level 1
Functional Skills Maths Level 1

Vacancy description:
To gain experience of maintaining green spaces, for example, grass mowing, edging, general pruning, sweeping, etc.
To become conversant and skilled in the use of hand tools and pedestrian machines and appropriate powered hand tools which are used in the maintenance of horticultural features.
To learn about floral decorations including planting and maintenance of bedding plant displays, hanging baskets, etc.
To undertake regular apprentice training review meetings with your assessor.
To attend other short training courses and assessments as may be required and complete any relevant course work and assignments.
