Overview of the role (what will the learner be doing and what will the learner gain): The role as Account Apprentice will primarily be providing support for everyday book-keeping and accountancy functions. As you progress you will be allocated more responsibility and you should therefore wish to pursue progression in the role. Training will be provided while on-the-job and more formally by attending Oldham College on day-release.
Training to be provided (Qualifications to be gained):
AAT Level 3
Excellent numeracy skills.
Good organisational abilities, including prioritising workloads to deal with multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to deliver high quality documents and spread-sheets
Strong IT skills - Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting systems, such as Sage, etc.
Excellent attention to detail, especially in data input and number entry.
A willingness to learn new skills.

Proactive with the ability to use initiative and to work autonomously
Diligent, well-organised with a 'can do' attitude
Future prospects: Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship
Updating information on accounts software.
Liaising with internal and external contacts as required, dealing with queries.
Liaising with Managers/Directors, as required.
Process invoices purchase and sales orders etc.
Process staff and petty cash expenses claims.
Reconcile banking and Bank Statements as required.
Assist with managing process for any internal audit and expenditure sign-off systems.
Performing administrative duties for the team.
