Overview of the role (what will the learner be doing and what will the learner gain):
You will learn all about Warehousing & Storage, as well as Carpet Fitting. The role will teach you how to check goods in & out of the warehouse, how to manage stock, how to prepare surfaces and fit flooring, you will be taught to use hand tools, handle materials, setting out, preparing surfaces whilst delivering high quality customer service.
Training to be provided (Qualifications to be gained):
Warehousing & Storage-Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Desired personal qualities:
Permanent Warehouse/Carpet Fitter.
The role incorporates stock control.
Assist with day-to-day procurement of both stock and non-stock items.
Book in stock and then physically add stock to stores in the correct place.
Book out stock as required,
Understand the stock holding on a weekly basis of our key stock items.
Provide general housekeeping for the stores and warehouse area.
Other duties include:
You will also work as a Carpet Fitter alongside your role in the Warehouse.
You will learn to prepare surfaces and fit all new flooring products into a variety of domestic premises.
Primarily you will fit carpet, but you may also fit vinyl floor coverings, laminate and wooden flooring.
